4 ways to overcome fatigue
Fatigue is one of the most common side effects of illnesses, including heart disease, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lung disease, kidney disease, and neurological conditions.
It’s more than just being tired; it affects the whole body. A study found that fatigue is the leading reason for restricted activity amongst older adults. It’s also proven to contribute to impaired mobility and limitations in daily activities. When one experiences fatigue, they often stop becoming active due to a loss in energy which can lead to further muscle loss and weakness.
However, with patience and time, there are ways to overcome fatigue.
Here are 4 things to help you beat fatigue:
- Find things that motivate you.Find activities that get you excited, so you’re more willing to get up and participate in activities.
- Set small goals for yourself.Even the smallest goals like getting up to brush your teeth can help you get out of bed and build up energy to accomplish more goals throughout the day.
